Terms and Conditions of Service
Effective Date: [7/22/25]
By creating an account or using Camelot Cleaners’ dry cleaning, laundry, wash and fold, or alterations services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms form a binding agreement between you (“Customer”) and Camelot Cleaners, LLC (“Camelot Cleaners,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
1. Account & Payment
- Service is only available to registered customers with an active account and a valid credit or debit card on file.
- We do not accept cash for payment.
- You authorize Camelot Cleaners to charge your card for:
– Standard service fees
– Additional charges for pet hair removal, spot treating, oversized items, specialty instructions, or rush orders
– Any damage caused by items left in laundry (e.g., pens, lipstick, gum) - Monthly Wash & Fold pricing:
– $199/month: 4 bags, 1 pickup/drop-off per week
– $389/month: 8 bags, 2 pickups/drop-offs per week - If payment fails, we may immediately suspend service and retain cleaned items until all charges are paid in full.
2. Service Coverage
- Wash & Fold services include everyday laundry-safe items. All items are returned folded only and not hung.
- Complimentary pickup and delivery is available to route customers within designated service zones.
- Dry cleaning must be separated and will be billed separately at standard rates.
- Minimum charges may apply for dry cleaning pickups, even if services are later declined.
3. Suitability for Laundering
- Wash & Fold services are performed using state-of-the-art commercial machines. Garments are not separated by care level unless specifically labeled.
- If “hand wash” items are included, they must be separated and labeled clearly. These items will be processed using a gentle machine cycle.
- We do not guarantee results for hand wash-only items or other special garments and deny responsibility for damage to such items due to the limitations of machine processing.
- Items infested with scabies, bed bugs, mites, fleas, or other parasites or insects will be refused and returned unprocessed.
4. Garment Care Disclaimer
- Camelot Cleaners is not responsible for:
– Items left in pockets
– Normal wear and tear (e.g., fading, shrinkage, thinning, broken closures)
– Missing care labels or mislabeled garments - We are not liable for special care items, but will make reasonable efforts to honor instructions if items are clearly labeled “delicate.”
- We are not responsible for internal batting, foam, or fill in comforters, bedspreads, or padded garments, though we will attempt to correct shifting when possible.
- Specialty or dry-clean-only garments may be processed by a third-party (e.g., Don’s Cleaners). You authorize such transfers and release Camelot from liability during third-party handling.
5. Limitation of Liability
- Before an item is considered lost, Camelot Cleaners shall be allowed 30 days from notice to attempt to locate the item.
- If liability is confirmed, maximum reimbursement shall not exceed the lower of:
5.1. Ten (10) times our charge for cleaning the item, per Dry Cleaning and Fabricare Institute guidelines, or
5.2. Replacement value with proof of purchase:
– 100% if purchased within 30 days
– 50% if purchased within 31–120 days
– 25% if purchased over one year ago - We are not liable for:
– Replacement garments purchased by the customer
– Any special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages - All reimbursements, if any, will be in the form of store credit only.
6. Lost or Missing Items
- Notify us within 24 hours if any item (dry cleaning or laundry) is missing upon return.
- Items will not be considered lost until we have had 30 days to investigate from the date of your written notice.
7. Bag Size and Capacity (Wash & Fold Only)
- Each bag holds approximately 40–50 lbs or 3–5 loads, depending on contents.
- Bags must be fully closed at pickup. Unbagged or overfilled items may be refused or charged additionally.
- Sample bags are available in-store for customer reference.
8. Turnaround Times
- For route customers, turnaround is typically:
– Pickup Monday, return Thursday (weekly)
– Pickup Monday & Thursday, return Thursday & Monday (twice weekly) - For in-store customers, a pickup date will be provided at drop-off.
- For same-day service, items must be received in-store before 8:00 AM and will be ready by 5:00 PM the same day, subject to a 50% surcharge and availability.
9. Pick-Up & Delivery
- Items must be left in a clearly marked, weather-safe, accessible location.
- If unattended, items will be left or collected at your risk.
- Camelot Cleaners is not responsible for loss, theft, or exposure resulting from unattended pickup or delivery.
10. Unclaimed & In-Store Items
- Customers will be notified by text when items are ready for pickup or have been delivered.
- Items not claimed or delivered within 30 days may be donated or discarded.
- Failure to retrieve items does not eliminate your obligation to pay.
- Camelot is not liable for items left in-store more than 14 days.
11. Alterations
- Camelot Cleaners offers tailoring and alteration services for an additional fee.
- Alterations are not performed by our customer service staff. Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that:
– All markings, pins, and measurements are accurate
– They communicate clear instructions at the time of drop-off - Camelot is not liable for poor fit or outcome due to incorrect customer instructions, incomplete measurements, or changes after drop-off.
12. Privacy Policy
- Customer data is used only for service communications and is not sold or shared except as required by law.
13. Dispute Resolution
- Governed by North Dakota law.
- Disputes must first be submitted to non-binding mediation in Cass County, ND, with costs shared equally.
- After 30 days without resolution, either party may file in Cass County state or federal court.
14. Acknowledgment and Release
- By using Camelot Cleaners, you:
– Confirm items are suitable for selected services
– Accept the risk of loss or damage under the limits stated
– Agree that specialty garments may require written releases
– Authorize Camelot to retain items until payment is received
– Understand all credits or reimbursements are non-cash
– Release Camelot and any third-party vendors from liability except as expressly provided
15. Modifications
- These Terms, pricing, and services may change at any time. The current version is posted at www.camelotcleaners.com.
- Your continued use of services constitutes acceptance of all current terms.
